BOOOOOOOORING.
Totally.

I've just signed up for Impulse yesterday, and I've already bought five or six games because well, it's just so good! I prefer this place to Steam though I feel that the Friends list features on Impulse is horrible and doesn't work as well as it does on Steam, Whatever.

I bought a few games I've had my eye on, such as Demigod, Political Machine 2008, Sins+Entrenchment, World of Goo and Titan Quest Gold. I could have bought two titles I've just listed on Steam, but seeing as Impulse looks nice, I decided to just buy them here.

I think he meant that the downloads and overall functionality and stability compared to Steam is a lot better. I have to agree.

They keep working on Impulse to improve it based on user feedback so Friends list and other features should improve over time.

What a wonderfully pleasent way to welcome a new user to the Stardock forums.....

Regardless of asinine quipps, yes Impulse is awesome. Sure it has it's flaws, the friends lists being one of them, but Steam has had what...6 years or so to get to the point it is now?

I think Impulse is moving along nicely (IE dependancy no withstanding...). I use both Steam and Impulse and cannot wait for Impulse to have content parity with Steam so i can buy a few games they already have....and hoping for a few they don't.

Enjoy!

@Wintersong..nice avatar...i didn't recognize who was posting at first since you changed it.......

Be careful around here, theres a guy going around trying to sell you "a book he wrote" but its nothing more than "Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone" in a fake packaging.

Welcome to the forums

Also, the IE dependancy for installation is pretty much gone, it just warns you that some advanced community features may not work properly

Try Gal Civ 2 and the expansions its a very fun game!

Also the Witcher is a good choice!

Good point... (I do need a good kick now and then)

Sorry about that canadakiller, I think it was the shock of someone buying 6 games in a day. I am way to fussy.

Mind you, I do have the games you have bought and they are all good ... keep a look out for Elemental down the track. Injoy

I get out too much. That's why I stock up games.

well, I like the community and games more than impulse itself.   But I suspect kend0 is right, it gets better all the time.

I personally think your selection of 6 games is wonderful.  It is not far off from the 6 games I've purchased from Impulse.  (replace titan quest, because I already own that, with magesty.  Or just add magesty, because I don't count sins+entrenchment as 2 games)
